Summary
This study aimed to test the safety of an investigational drug called bitopertin in adults with a rare disorder called protoporphyria, which can cause severe pain from sunlight and sometimes damage the liver. The goal was to see if daily bitopertin could lower harmful substances in the body and slow or prevent liver disease progression. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
