New hope for Kids' stomach bugs: does adding bismuth heal ulcers faster?

NCT ID NCT07260006

Summary

This study aims to find out if adding bismuth to the standard antibiotic treatment works better to clear a stomach bacteria (H. pylori) that causes painful ulcers in children. Researchers will compare two treatment plans—one with bismuth and one without—in 80 children to see which is more effective at killing the infection and healing ulcers. The goal is to find a safe, effective, and potentially more cost-effective treatment option for kids.
