New hope for Kids' stomach ulcers: could a common ingredient be the key?

NCT ID NCT07260006

Summary

This study is testing whether adding bismuth to standard antibiotic treatment works better to clear H. pylori stomach infections and heal ulcers in children. Researchers will compare two treatment plans—one with bismuth and one without—in 80 children to see which is more effective, safer, and more cost-effective. Participants will take their assigned medication for 14 days, followed by additional acid-reducing medicine, and return for tests to check if the infection is gone.
