First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding bismuth to a 14-day course of vonoprazan and amoxicillin works better than the two-drug combo alone for eradicating H. pylori, a bacteria that can cause stomach ulcers and cancer. About 990 adults who have not been treated before will participate. Researchers will also check how the treatment affects gut bacteria, antibiotic resistance, and metabolic health.
