NCT ID NCT07511439
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether stopping combined oral contraceptives (birth control pills) can change serotonin levels in the brain. Researchers will compare women who stop taking the pill with those who continue, using brain scans and memory tests. The goal is to understand if the brain returns to its natural state after stopping the pill. 60 healthy women aged 18-39 who currently use a specific type of pill will participate.
