Dissolvable heart scaffolds: a smarter way to open clogged arteries?
NCT ID NCT06919562
First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a new approach for opening blocked heart arteries using a special dissolvable scaffold (bioresorbable scaffold) instead of a permanent metal stent. The procedure includes precise imaging and specific steps to ensure the scaffold is placed correctly. About 117 adults with stable coronary artery disease will take part to see if this method reduces long-term complications.
