Dissolvable scaffold could save legs from amputation
NCT ID NCT06071429
First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called the MAGNITUDE BRS System, a dissolvable scaffold that releases medicine to keep leg arteries open. It is for people with chronic limb-threatening ischemia, a severe condition where blocked arteries in the leg can lead to amputation. About 300 participants will be randomly assigned to get this scaffold or a standard treatment. The goal is to see if the scaffold helps save the limb and keeps the artery open longer.
