Summary

This early-stage study tested a small implant placed under the skin that releases naltrexone, a medicine used to treat opioid use disorder. Sixteen healthy adults aged 18 to 55 received the implant, which stayed in place for 3 months and was then removed. The main goal was to check safety and measure how much drug entered the blood over time.
