Bionic pancreas could ease diabetes burden in cystic fibrosis

Summary
This study tests a smart insulin pump called the iLet Bionic Pancreas in 150 people aged 14 and older with cystic fibrosis-related diabetes. The pump automatically adjusts insulin based on continuous glucose monitor readings. Participants are randomly assigned to use the bionic pancreas or their usual insulin method for 13 weeks, then everyone can try the bionic pancreas. The goal is to see if the device helps keep blood sugar in a healthy range more safely and easily.
