New heart monitor study aims to predict dangerous heart failure episodes
NCT ID NCT06989580
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study enrolls 300 people with heart failure who do not have standard heart devices like ICDs or CRTs. Researchers use the BIOMONITOR IV, a small implant that tracks heart activity, breathing, and fluid levels remotely. The goal is to learn how often irregular heartbeats occur and to develop a way to predict when heart failure gets worse, so doctors can intervene earlier and reduce hospital visits.
