Skin prick test could spot heart trouble before blood does

NCT ID NCT06632353

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether fluid from the skin (dermal interstitial fluid) can be used to find early signs of heart disease, instead of or alongside blood tests. Researchers will take samples from 30 people—some with chronic heart failure and some healthy young adults—to see if certain markers are present. The goal is to develop a less invasive way to diagnose and monitor cardiovascular conditions.
