Summary
This study looked for genetic markers that could predict how well a combination of chemotherapy (FOLFOX) and the targeted drug bevacizumab works in people with advanced colorectal cancer that has a specific gene mutation (mutant K-ras). The goal was to find biomarkers that could help doctors choose the best treatment. 76 adults with advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer took part.
