First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study is looking for biological markers (biomarkers) in the blood or tissue that can help doctors predict how severe gut graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) will be and how well it will respond to treatment. GvHD is a serious complication that can happen after a stem cell transplant for blood cancer, where the donor's immune cells attack the patient's body. The goal is to create a tool that helps doctors choose the best treatment for each patient, improving survival and quality of life. The study will include 90 people aged 12 and older who are getting a stem cell transplant.
