New study: visual feedback may improve swallowing after stroke

NCT ID NCT05591040

First seen Apr 01, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether biofeedback—a technique that shows you real-time visuals of your swallowing—can help stroke survivors with swallowing problems recover faster. One hundred participants will be split into two groups: one gets standard therapy with verbal feedback, the other gets the same therapy plus a visual display. The goal is to see if seeing your own swallowing on screen leads to better, safer eating and drinking.
