Drug Match-Up: testing if two pills act the same in the body
NCT ID NCT06768619
Summary
This study aimed to see if a new version of a drug called eltrombopag (used to treat low platelet counts) works the same way in the body as an existing version. It involved 36 healthy Chinese volunteers who took both drug versions after a meal. Researchers measured how the drug moved through their bodies to check if the two pills were equivalent.
