One pill to rule them all? cholesterol combo tested in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT07268625

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study checked if a new single pill containing three cholesterol-lowering medicines (bempedoic acid, ezetimibe, and atorvastatin) works the same in the body as taking those three drugs separately. 58 healthy adults aged 18-60 each received both the combo pill and the separate pills at different times, and researchers measured drug levels in their blood. The goal was to see if the combo pill is a good alternative to simplify treatment for people with high cholesterol.
