Scientists test if two antibiotic pills act the same in the body

NCT ID NCT07265167

Summary

This study aimed to see if two different versions of the same antibiotic combination (amoxicillin & clavulanic acid) are absorbed by the body in the same way. It involved 63 healthy volunteers who each took both versions in a specific order. Researchers measured drug levels in the blood to check if the two pills were essentially equivalent.
