Heart imaging showdown: can a CT scan replace an invasive camera?

NCT ID NCT07565805

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026

Summary

This study is enrolling 816 adults with coronary artery disease to compare two imaging techniques: a non-invasive CT scan (CCTA) and an invasive camera placed inside the heart arteries (OCT). The goal is to see how well the CT scan can identify dangerous plaque and guide treatment decisions, potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures. Participants will have both scans within three months, and researchers will track their health outcomes over time.
