Better fillings for deep cavities? study tests bioactive materials

NCT ID NCT06348953

Summary

This study compared two types of dental filling materials for treating deep cavities in back teeth. Researchers tested whether newer 'bioactive' fillings, which interact with the tooth, perform better than traditional fillings over 18 months. They measured how well the fillings held up, whether teeth stayed sensitive, and if new decay developed around them.
