First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study compared three new bioactive filling materials to a standard composite resin for treating cavities in back teeth. Twenty people with two cavities on opposite sides of the same jaw received different fillings. Researchers checked the fillings at 3, 6, and 9 months to see how well they functioned, looked, and affected the tooth's health. The goal was to see if these newer materials perform as well as or better than the standard option.
