Can special sounds replace sedation drugs for moms in surgery?
NCT ID NCT07386054
Summary
This study is testing whether listening to special audio tones, called binaural beats, can help reduce anxiety and lower the amount of sedative medication needed for mothers who are awake during a C-section with spinal anesthesia. Researchers will compare two groups of 100 mothers to see if those listening to the tones need less of the sedative drug midazolam. The goal is to find a safe way to keep mothers comfortable while minimizing potential drug side effects.
