New drug tested for painful skin condition in teens

Summary

This study aims to understand how the drug bimekizumab behaves in the body and how safe it is for teenagers with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a painful chronic skin condition. It will enroll about 40 participants aged 12 to 18 who have not responded well to previous antibiotic treatment. The main goal is to measure drug levels in the blood and track side effects over 16 weeks.
