Summary

This completed Phase 3 trial tested whether the drug bimekizumab could reduce painful skin lesions and improve quality of life for people with moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a chronic inflammatory skin disease. The study involved 505 adults whose HS did not respond well to antibiotics. Participants received either bimekizumab or a placebo for 16 weeks, and researchers measured changes in lesion counts, skin pain, and daily life impact.
