Rare complications after infant bowel surgery under the microscope
NCT ID NCT06642805
First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 03, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at children who had surgery for a blocked duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) at birth. The goal is to find out how often bile duct and pancreas problems happen after that surgery. Researchers will review medical records from the past 20 years across several French hospitals to count these complications and see if any surgical factors increase the risk.
