Major study seeks clues to rare childhood liver disease
NCT ID NCT00345553
Summary
This study aims to learn more about biliary atresia, a rare and serious liver disease in children. Researchers will collect health information, genetic material, and body fluid samples from over 1,200 children and young adults who have the disease but have not yet had a liver transplant. The goal is to discover potential genetic causes and understand how the disease develops and affects patients' lives over many years.
