First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a supplement called 7-keto lithocholic acid (7-KLCA) can change the types of bacteria living in the gut and improve health markers like blood sugar and cholesterol. Researchers will give the supplement to 40 healthy adults for 12 weeks and measure changes in their stool and blood. The goal is to learn if this bile acid can help regulate metabolism and potentially prevent disease.
