Summary
This study collected blood and tissue samples from over 2,100 patients with digestive peritoneal carcinomatosis (cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen). The goal was to create a large, high-quality biobank for future research into why some cancers resist treatment. No new treatments were tested; instead, the focus was on gathering data and samples to help scientists better understand the disease.
