First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested a community bike safety program for 195 kids ages 9 to 12. Some kids took a 12-hour safety class, some took the class plus a parent training session, and others got no training. All bikes had a special GPS and video system to record how kids rode and any close calls. The goal was to see if the program helped kids ride more safely and follow traffic rules.
