Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called BI 655130 in 22 adults with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis who were already taking TNF inhibitor therapy. The goal was to see if adding BI 655130 could help heal the lining of the colon (mucosal healing) and improve symptoms. The trial focused on safety and early signs of effectiveness, with results measured at 12 weeks.
