Scientists trace a single Pill's journey through the body

NCT ID NCT05833035

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to understand how the body absorbs, breaks down, and eliminates a single dose of an experimental drug called BI 1291583. Eight healthy male volunteers received a specially labeled version of the drug. Researchers then carefully measured how much of it and its breakdown products appeared in their blood, urine, and feces over several weeks to map its path through the body.
