Summary

This study tested whether a new drug called BHV-7000 could safely reduce symptoms of major depression. It involved 336 adults with moderate to severe depression who were not taking other depression medications. Researchers compared the drug to a placebo over 6 weeks, measuring changes in depression scores, ability to feel pleasure, and quality of life.
