First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding blood flow restriction (BFR) to standard physical therapy helps people recover knee function, strength, and balance after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Thirty adults aged 18-35 who had ACL surgery one week prior took part. The goal was to see if BFR could improve daily activities and muscle recovery better than therapy alone.
