Simple blood tests could track bowel disease
NCT ID NCT07261579
Summary
This study aimed to see if simple ratios calculated from routine blood tests could help doctors monitor how active ulcerative colitis is in a patient. Researchers compared these blood test results against colonoscopy findings, which is the standard way to check disease activity, in 80 people with the condition. The goal was to find less invasive, more affordable ways to track this chronic bowel disease.
