New scan and blood test combo aims to predict dangerous blood vessel disease Flare-Ups
NCT ID NCT07246577
Summary
This study aims to develop better tools for managing Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA), a serious blood vessel inflammation. Researchers will test if combining a detailed ultrasound scan of arteries with new blood tests can more accurately predict which patients are at high risk of the disease coming back. The goal is to help doctors personalize treatment, potentially reducing side effects from long-term steroid use.
