New scan aims to pinpoint elusive Cushing's tumors

NCT ID NCT07463625

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to better find the tiny pituitary tumors that cause Cushing's disease. Current MRI scans can miss these small tumors about 30% of the time. Researchers will compare the new scan results to what surgeons actually find, hoping it will lead to more accurate surgery planning for 20 adult patients.
