New biopsy tool aims for clearer answers in mysterious lung disease

NCT ID NCT05374447

Summary

This study aims to find out if a newer biopsy tool (forceps) is better than the standard needle for getting a clear tissue sample to diagnose sarcoidosis. It will involve 55 adults with swollen chest lymph nodes seen on scans, who are suspected of having this inflammatory lung disease. Researchers will directly compare the two methods during the same procedure to see which one provides more useful samples for doctors to analyze.
