Study aims to boost success of top Quit-Smoking pill
NCT ID NCT03262662
Summary
This study tested if taking the stop-smoking medication varenicline for four weeks before a quit date works better than the standard one-week period. Researchers enrolled 320 adult smokers who wanted to quit. They compared long-term quit rates between the two groups to see if the longer pre-treatment helps people stay smoke-free.
