Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to help doctors better identify which men with low-risk prostate cancer can safely choose 'active surveillance'—monitoring the cancer without immediate surgery or radiation. Researchers want to see if this scan is more accurate than current methods at spotting which cancers might actually be more serious and need treatment. The goal is to help patients avoid unnecessary procedures while ensuring those who need treatment get it promptly.
