First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Apr 06, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study is testing a new computer method called the IMPULSE algorithm to see if it can spot pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) better than current guidelines. It involves 200 patients who are already getting a standard heart ultrasound scan for unexplained breathlessness. The goal is to see if this new method can identify the condition earlier and more accurately.
