New scans aim to sharpen the surgical map for neck tumors

Summary
This study aims to see if two new types of imaging scans are better at finding parathyroid tumors before surgery. It will involve about 193 adults who are already scheduled for surgery to remove a parathyroid gland. Researchers will compare the new scans, which use a radioactive tracer, to the current standard scan to see which one more accurately pinpoints the tumor's location.
