New nerve block combo could ease Post-Surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07285083

Summary

This study is testing if adding a drug called dexmedetomidine to a standard pain-blocking injection works better for pain relief after abdominal surgery. Researchers will compare pain levels in 80 patients who get the new combination versus those who get the standard injection alone. The goal is to see if the new mix provides longer-lasting relief and reduces the need for extra pain medicine, without causing more side effects like low blood pressure or nausea.
