New hope for taming Chemo's worst side effect
NCT ID NCT03367572
Summary
This large study aimed to find better ways to control the severe nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. It tested whether adding one of two extra anti-nausea drugs (prochlorperazine or olanzapine) to a standard three-drug combination worked better. Over 1,300 patients participated to see which drug regimen provided the most relief during their second round of chemo.
