New scan cuts through the 'Static' to see painful hip implants
NCT ID NCT04875884
Summary
This study is testing if a tweaked MRI machine setting can take clearer pictures of the area around a hip replacement. Metal implants often create blurry spots on regular MRI scans. Researchers will scan 22 people with painful hip replacements using both the standard and the modified method to see which one gives doctors a better view of the bone and soft tissues.
