New brain scan could prevent unnecessary surgery

NCT ID NCT04285125

Summary

This study aims to improve the diagnosis of a rare, non-cancerous brain tumor called MVNT using more detailed MRI scans. Researchers will test advanced imaging techniques on 33 adult patients who show signs of this tumor on their initial scans. The goal is to create clearer diagnostic rules so doctors can confidently identify this harmless tumor and avoid recommending invasive brain surgery when it's not needed.
