MRI breakthrough could speed diagnosis of dangerous 'Temporal Arteritis'
NCT ID NCT05854927
Summary
This study aims to see if lower-quality MRI scans can still accurately diagnose giant cell arteritis, a serious inflammatory condition affecting arteries in the head. Researchers will compare different MRI scan resolutions in 133 adults suspected of having the disease. The goal is to make this important diagnostic tool available in more hospitals, helping patients get diagnosed and treated faster.
