Scientists test High-Tech method to spot parasites faster
NCT ID NCT07269314
Summary
This study aims to see if a modern lab technique called PCR can improve how doctors diagnose serious parasitic infections like malaria and leishmaniasis. Researchers will compare the new PCR method against older microscope-based tests using about 200-300 stored patient samples. The goal is to see if PCR is faster, more accurate, and can help track how well treatments are working.
