New test could revolutionize how doctors spot lung transplant failure
NCT ID NCT02812290
Summary
This study is testing a new molecular diagnostic system to improve how doctors detect rejection in lung transplant patients. It will compare the new test, which analyzes the molecular 'fingerprint' of tissue samples, to the current standard biopsy method, which can sometimes be wrong. The research also aims to see if a safer, less invasive biopsy method can be used with the new test.
