New scans hunt hidden hormone tumors

NCT ID NCT02019706

Summary

This study aims to find better ways to locate the small, hard-to-find tumors that cause a rare form of Cushing syndrome. Researchers will test two new types of PET scans (called F-DOPA and 68Ga-DOTATATE) in up to 80 patients to see which scan, or combination of scans, is most accurate at finding these tumors. The goal is to improve diagnosis so doctors can plan the right treatment.
