Breakthrough for hip pain? study aims to extend relief for seniors after surgery

NCT ID NCT07330999

Summary

This study is testing if adding one of two common medications to a standard pain-numbing injection (a PENG block) can provide better and longer-lasting pain relief after hip surgery. It will involve 120 patients aged 65 and older. The goal is to find the most effective way to manage post-surgery pain, which could help patients recover faster and use fewer opioid painkillers.
