Major heart study aims to make better stents the new standard
NCT ID NCT07114393
Summary
This large study aims to improve outcomes for people with severe coronary artery disease who need a stent procedure. It will test if routinely using a special camera inside the heart's arteries to guide stent placement leads to fewer future heart attacks, repeat procedures, and deaths compared to the current standard method. The goal is to make this advanced imaging technique a regular part of care for complex heart blockages.
